What Do Past Campers Have to Say About Yoga Camp?

For me, the 2019 Yoga Camp had a really beautiful, calm vibe! I'm not a regular yoga practitioner by any means, but the instructors and fellow yogis created a safe, and welcoming environment to allow me to enjoy the workshops, meditation, and activities quite a lot! I loved the Breathing workshop by Morgan Cowie, as she grounded the lesson in both historical and physical fundamentals. Simone's shoulder balancing workshop and the Yoga Nidra sessions showed me the importance of mindful physical exertion, and mindful reflection. Finally, Deborah's workshop on discovering and exercising my values was a meaningful complement to aligning my mind / heart with my body. The camp and nature experience itself was re-generative and exactly what I needed; I digitally-detoxed, and was fully present with the diverse group of kind-hearted humans in the camp! Looking forward to staring up at the beautiful stars around the campfire again next year :)

It’s our second year at Yoga Camp. We came as mother and daughter and had the best time reconnecting with nature, hiking, campfires and lots of yoga. We loved the healthy and plentiful vegetarian and vegan food, which made our stop at Kawartha Dairy on the drive home even better. See you at Yoga Camp in 2020!

Yoga camp was life changing. Making the decision to step outside of my regular routine and to be with nature and a high vibe community completely made my summer. Yoga camp is an opportunity to step outside of the city and inside yourself. It provided me with a safe space to be present with my thoughts and emotions and take the time to listen to my body and care for it through movement and love. To be in a space with such warmth, compassion, and community was a gift that will last a lifetime. Words can not express my gratitude for such a wonderful experience. I look forward to returning next year.

Yoga Camp was the best retreat experience to close out the summer! The time of year and wonderful surroundings, combined with remarkable teachers and a beautiful community were the perfect combination. The food was great, the company was even better! Simone is a fantastic teacher, who brings other wonderful teachers together, to create and share in a memorable and uplifting yoga and wellness weekend. Can't wait to do it again!

What a treat! To combine my two great loves, yoga and summer camp was a true summer delight. Beautiful setting, delicious food, kind and generous instructors and fabulous new friends are to be found at yoga camp. The icing on the cake was to sit under the moonlight at evening campfire and wake up every morning to watch the sunrise from my top bunk! Thank you, Simone, for a magical experience.

I was a bit unsure when I registered as I had never been on a yoga retreat before, so I didn't know what to expect. But, the pre-planning was so smooth, and I had all the information I needed to feel prepared and excited.

The weekend was extremely well organized. There was a great variety of classes throughout the day, and I liked the flexibility of attending a bunch of classes and workshops, or having some downtime on the beach; you can really make the weekend your own. I attended solo, and everyone was so warm and welcoming. No matter what level yogi you are, you can fit right into the classes which are held in the most beautiful setting! Thank you for a weekend I will never forget! Can't wait to go back in 2020.

A weekend of love, laughter and connection. Yoga Camp was the perfect opportunity to tune-in to my surroundings and savour the last bits of a beautiful summer in Ontario. I felt a sense of community as soon as I arrived, greeted with warm and welcoming faces, excited to share a weekend of lasting memories. Yoga camp truly is for everyone, with opportunities to practice at your leisure, try new activities like water sports and ecstatic dance, participate in workshops, unwind with a book or simply be one with the land, hiking to a scenic waterfall in Algonquin Provincial Park! The connections built within myself and others were some of the most memorable moments of my summer. I'm truly grateful for the experience to feel so comfortable exploring exactly what it was that I needed out of a weekend retreat. Thank you to Simone Nitzan and all of the coordinators for creating this experience for me. Can't wait to see what's in store for 2020!
